Allison’s Vacuum Store began serving the small town of Magnolia in south Arkansas in 1998, originally concentrating on vacuum sales and service. With over 20 years management experience to draw on, Allison began diversifying and expanding her business. In 2000, she began looking for a line of candles to carry in her store. Allison tried a wide variety, yet none were the quality and price she wanted. Always wanting to give the best quality for the most affordable prices, Allison stated, “I work hard for my money, and I know my customers do too, so they need to get their moneys worth.”  She finally decided to have the candles custom made in order to get the finest quality and best price. The businessname changed from Allison’s Vacuum Store to Allison’s Vacuum Store & Candle Corner. Her candle selection and customer base grew over time as Allison gradually added a wide variety of $2.50 gift items, custom gift baskets, and sewing machine repairs. By 2006, Allison had increased her line of candles to include over 100 scents. The store is selling candles and shipping them nation wide to a number of customers, fundraisers, and wholesalers. The latest addition, requested by many of Allison’s customers, is the website and on-line catalog.

“I’m very excited about this next step to introduce my candles and oils to new people and places,” Allison says, “It’s hard to believe my small store has grown so much over the years, and that Allison’s Candle Corner is now on the internet.”
